Our Team

  • Rick Raffaini

Rick joined the team at Grove Street after graduating from Sonoma State University with a degree in Wine Marketing in 1992. Born and raised in Sonoma County, Rick is a fourth generation Californian and has seen firsthand the powerful role the wine industry has played in the emergence of the local community. Rick’s family and their story were featured in Healdsburg Living Magazine. Today, as co-owner of Grove Street Brokers, Rick has fulfilled a lifelong dream to be a partner in a business in the same Wine Country town he grew up in.

  • Sabrina Krauss

Since 1986 Sabrina has been procuring small production, hand-crafted, hard-to-find wines for her clients—especially under the radar wines that are always exciting to discover. • Guy Shappy

Guy moved to Sonoma County in 1978 and started a long career in the wine business—beginning as a zinfandel grower in Dry Creek Valley. By 1981 he was working with a corporate marketing team at a large winery. Then in 1991 he joined with five other "wine people" to form Grove Street Brokers, working with some of the most limited producers of high quality wines. Today Guy still enjoys pruning vines and working a bottling line. He has found that some of the best wines are produced by the smallest wineries, and at Grove Street, we help them with the exposure that they need.

  • Allen McDaniel

Allen has been in the wine business for over 30 years and meets the definition of a true renaissance man. He has been a professional musician since he was 17 years old and has traveled all over the world from the watering holes of the Central Valley of California to the top night clubs in Tokyo. On one occasion he had the good fortune to have John Lennon and Yoko in the audience for two hours while he played, and the pleasure of meeting them during a break in the music. Having grown up in the San Joaquin Valley of California, Allen has always had an interest in grapes and agriculture. He attended college to study viticulture and thought he might try growing grapes but realized early on just prior to graduating that he was too old for vineyard work. So he decided the next best thing was to become involved in wine sales and came on board with Grove Street in 2000. Allen and his wife Susan have two children and live in the city of Sonoma.
